Upcoming Events For the Great Lakes Dredging Team

The Great Lakes Dredging Team has announced two upcoming events. On March 19 at 3:00 p.m, Chuck Theiling of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Engineer Research and Development Center will present a webinar: Beneficial Use of Dredged Material: Can Soil Sales Save Peoria Lake? Theiling will discuss how manufacturing custom soil blends from dredged sand can be accomplished and how the technology is transferable to other regions. He will talk about how successful soil markets can extend the life of Corps Confined Disposal Facilities, create economic opportunity and improve stormwater management. Click here to register.

Also, the 2018 Great Lakes Dredging Team Annual Meeting will be held May 22 to 23 in Toledo, Ohio. While the agenda and details are still to be announced, the event will bring together regional stakeholders to discuss issues related to dredging and dredged material management. The Great Lakes Dredging Team is a partnership of federal and state agencies that work to assure dredging throughout the Great Lakes meets environmental, restoration and enhancement goals, and is conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner.
