Merré Shipyard Delivers SEEM 16-640ST Dredge

The stationary dredge SEEM 16-640ST, a steel hulled and aluminum superstructure named Milady, was launched at Merré shipyard. It was built for the Services Industriels de Genève, based in Switzerland.

The cutter suction dredge was designed by the Merré Design Office. It can extract approximately 50,000 cubic meters (65,397 cubic yards) of material per year with a maximum of 800 cubic meters (1046 cubic yards) of solid sediment per day. It is designed to pump and discharge materials 150 mm (~6 inches) in diameter at a distance of 300 meters (~984 feet). The SEEM 16-640ST was designed for use on the Rhone River, but it can be disassembled for transport by road.
