Great Lakes Sediment Management Workshop Announced

The Great Lakes Commission is holding the 2019 Great Lakes Regional Sediment Management Workshop, on November 18 and 19 in Chicago, Illinois. This workshop is being planned in collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. EPA and other partners.

Presentations during the workshop will cover agricultural, urban, and coastal programs and projects managing sediment and nutrient pollution.

The draft agenda includes updates on regional programs and projects; three presentations on managing nonpoint source runoff (agricultural practices, stream storage and legacy sources, urban stormwater practices); targeting projects and engaging communities in planning; habitat restoration; and coastal systems.
