Obituary Notice: Pat O’Neill

Patricia J. “Pat” O’Neill, 92, died November 14 in Tampa, Fla. She spent most of her career in the inland river transportation industry, working for The Valley Line and Nilo Barge Line. She worked her way up from line secretary to executive secretary to sales, and she thrived in an industry that brought her much joy and many lifelong friends.

After retiring from the barge companies, she spent several years in hospital administration, working for Barnes-Jewish Hospital. In 2004, she relocated to Tampa to be near her daughter and grandchildren.
