Corps Debuts Season 2 Of Engineering With Nature Podcast

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineering With Nature (EWN) team has launched season two of the EWN podcast. Episode one of the new season debuted March 17, with podcasts available on both Apple and Android platforms and online.

The first episode features Todd Bridges, senior research scientist and national lead for the Engineering With Nature initiative; Just McDonald, coastal resiliency program manager for the Mobile Engineer District; and Elizabeth Godsey, coastal engineering technical lead for the Mobile Engineer District. The trio explores how infrastructure will play a role in world recovery from COVID-19. The podcast also introduces the Mobile District as a new “proving ground” for the Corps’ Engineering With Nature effort.

The rest of the season, which will include nine more episodes between now and July 21, will look at how natural infrastructure can help address the challenges of climate change, flood risk management, ecosystem restoration and coastal resilience. The season will also feature how the Corps is expanding the reach of EWN across civil works infrastructure and military installations.
