Obituary: Deane Orr

Warren “Deane” Orr, 72, of Renovo Pa., former vice president of river operations for Consol Coal, died June 3.

A regular at industry meetings, he was known for passionately advocating for river-industry interests in discussions with the Corps and Coast Guard. He was a member of the Inland Waterways Users Board and The American Waterways Operators, and was a past president of the Pittsburgh Waterways Association.

He was an avid fly fisherman and loved spending time with friends and family.
