Nominations Sought For 40 Under 40 Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for this year’s 40 Under 40 Award, which will be presented during the 10th annual Inland Marine Expo (IMX), May 31–June 2 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn.

The 40 Under 40 Award recognizes women and men under the age of 40 who have already left their mark on the inland marine transportation industry and who likely will shape the industry for decades to come. Nominations may be made by a person’s peers and colleagues, along with the endorsement of the individual’s company leadership.

The 40 Under 40 Award is open to towboat, passenger vessel and other commercial craft crew members; shoreside personnel, including leaders at ports, terminals, shipyards and fleets; leaders from industry associations and government agencies, like the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and individuals representing professional services to the industry, like surveyors, freight or equipment brokers, engineers and consultants.

To be eligible, a nominee must be under 40 at the time of IMX. The deadline for submissions is March 7.
