St. Louis Inland River Seminar Donates To SCI

A charity well known on the river is benefiting from the fact that the 2023 St. Louis Inland River Seminar was very well attended.

The number of attendees at the seminar on September 19 was nearly double the number from the previous year. At the opening of the seminar, moderator Ron Fox told the audience, “The seminar is not for profit but for the benefit of the river industry. Any proceeds in excess of expenses will be donated to the Seamen’s Church.”

Now that the expenses for the seminar have been paid, an overage is available.  In the name of the 2023 St. Louis Inland River Seminar, a donation of $9,638.81 has been paid to the 2023 Ministry on the River Endowment Campaign.

“We are grateful to the sponsors of the seminar, to those who attended the seminar and to the speakers who worked so hard on their seminar presentations,” Fox said. “We are honored to support the Seamen’s Church.”
