MarAd Offers Marine Highway Webinar

The U.S. Maritime Administration (MarAd) will host a webinar from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern Time July 23 for U.S. Marine Highway grant applicants.

MarAd released the notice of funding opportunity for the 2026 grant applications July 6 at https://grants.gov/search-results-detail/362478.

This year, $5 million in funding was appropriated for the program. Including prior year unexpended funds, total funding available is $10,772,270, according to MarAd

The grant application deadline is August 31.

The grants are awarded on a competitive basis to projects on designated U.S. Marine Highway routes that provide alternatives to land-based transportation, taking advantage of the additional capacity available on the nation’s waterways.
