GLDD Wins $16.1 Million Venice Dredging Contract

Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company (GLDD), Houston, Texas, has been awarded a $16.1 million contract for regional dredging work in Venice, La.

The firm-fixed-price contract calls for GLDD to provide a fully crewed and equipped self-propelled trailing suction hopper dredge (TSHD). The award is valued at nearly $16.1 million, with a cumulative face value of nearly $16.5 million.

Four bids were received for the project, which is being contracted through the New Orleans Engineer District. Work is scheduled to be completed by July 11, 2027.

Fiscal year 2026 civil operation and maintenance funds totaling nearly $16.1 million were obligated at the time of the award.
