Viking Cruise Lines’ Viking Mississippi visited Paducah, Ky., on July 1 after high water in the Upper Mississippi kept it from continuing north toward Red Wing, Minn. The vessel left New Orleans on June 14 on a 20-day one-way voyage, according to the cruise line’s website. The vessel had previously stopped in Paducah for a scheduled port of call the previous week but reportedly had to turn around after visiting Hannibal, Mo. Several residents and visitors came out to see the 374-foot-long, 36-foot-wide vessel, which was built in 2022. (Photo by Shelley Byrne)
