As of January 1, Tim Studdert assumed the duties and responsibilities of the president of Buffalo Marine Service Inc., a marine-transportation provider, in Houston, Texas. Studdert replaces his father, Patrick J. Studdert, who became president of the company in 1980.

“Over the past 15 years, Tim has dedicated himself to learning all aspects of the business my father turned over to me back in 1980,” said Patrick Studdert. “Tim has held nearly every operational position at Buffalo Marine, revamped crew management, overseen new construction, developed a variety of new business lines and restructured our training and compliance programs in order to better meet the needs of our growing customer base. There is no one more qualified to be in this position, and I am extraordinarily proud of the fact that I can watch the next generation continue the legacy my father began over 75 years ago.”

Tim Studdert said he welcomed the opportunity to succeed his father as Buffalo Marine’s president. “I am extremely blessed to have had my father as a teacher and mentor during my 15 years at Buffalo Marine,” he said. “He has taught me an immense amount about leadership, managing bunkers, maintaining vessels and professionally running a top-notch marine transportation company. He is the best coach a person could ask for, and I look forward to successfully carrying the Buffalo Marine ball into the future.”
