Registration Open for Texas A&M’s 48th Dredging Engineering Short Course

Western Dredging Association’s partner Texas A&M University will be holding its 48th Dredging Engineering Short Course from January 7 to 11, 2019, at the Texas A&M University College Station. The course is aimed toward dredgers, professional staff and project managers and will include lectures, laboratories and a panel. The course is administered by the Center for Dredging Studies, Department of Ocean Engineering. Two textbooks and course notes on all lecture material are provided. A certificate and continuing education units (~3.0 CEUs) are earned.

Topics to be covered include fundamentals of dredging, sediment transport, pumps and hydraulics, beach nourishment, dredged material management, contaminated disposal facilities, numerical modeling, capping, contracts and project management and more.
