WEDA Cancels 2020 Dredging Summit & Expo

The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) has canceled its 2020 Dredging Summit & Expo. After postponing the June event in Houston, the association considered moving it to the fall, but decided in the end to forego the event for this year. The 2021 WEDA Dredging Summit & Expo will take place in Tampa, Fla.

WEDA has already contracted with the JW Marriott in Tampa for the 2021 event, which will take place June 14 to 17. WEDA will return to the Marriott Marquis in Houston, Texas, for the 2022 Dredging Summit & Expo, which will take place July 25 to 28.

For those who have already registered and paid for the 2020 event, WEDA will carry over the registration to Tampa next June; issue a full refund; apply all or a portion of the registration costs toward WEDA membership; or apply payments toward a scholarship/young member paper award.

Hotel reservations made through the WEDA hotel room blocks have been automatically canceled. Hotel rooms reserved outside the WEDA room block must be canceled individually. The reservation links for the 2021 Dredging Summit & Expo will be emailed and posted at the end of this year.
