Bludworth Marine Relocates to Galveston

In June, Bludworth Marine LLC announced the company has opened a new headquarters in Galveston, Texas. The new facility, located at 320 77th St. in Galveston, is within minutes of both Bludworth Marine’s graving dock on the island and the Port of Galveston’s Pier 38 dockside location.

“This proximity will allow quicker response and service to the continually increasing marine repair service business in Galveston and surrounding areas,” the company said in an announcement of the relocation.

The new headquarters occupies a 3.5-acre site, which includes a high bay fabrication shop that measures 75 feet by 150 feet. That fab shop is equipped with a 10-ton overhead crane, a complete machine shop, a full blast and paint building, a carpentry workshop and outside machinist shops for equipment and pump repairs.

The new facility adds to Bludworth Marine’s presence in Houston, Galveston and Orange, Texas. In Houston, Bludworth Marine offers services ranging from overhead lifting, welding and fabrication to construction projects. In Orange, Bludworth Marine offers drydock repairs and new construction for both the inland and offshore markets. On Galveston Island, Bludworth Marine’s Pier 38 location specializes in bluewater vessel repairs, with both emergency vessel repair services and mobile response services. The company’s Galveston shipyard offers a wide range of both bluewater and inland construction and repair.

Besides its construction and repair services, Bludworth Marine also markets its own articulated tug barge (ATB) design and is the U.S. sales and service representative for Japanese Taisei Engineering Articouple ATB systems.
