Obituary: Capt. Michael “Joe” Snodgrass

Capt. Michael “Joe” Snodgrass, 78, of Morgantown, Ky., a former ADM towboat captain who worked on the river for 43 years, died January 3. Being a captain on the river wasn’t easy, but it was a job that allowed his wife, Helen Pendley Snodgrass, to stay home and be there for their children every day, and that’s exactly what he wanted. During retirement, he enjoyed staying home and spending time with his family. He was a loyal University of Kentucky men’s basketball fan and always enjoyed watching the Cats from his couch or from the sidelines when he attended games.
