MarAd To Host PIDP Grant Webinars
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration is hosting a series of informational webinars focused on the FY 2025 Port Infrastructure Development Program.
The webinars are designed to support potential applicants by providing detailed guidance on the application process, program requirements, evaluation criteria and best practices for preparing competitive proposals. Each session will include a presentation followed by a live question and answer session.
On June 17, MarAd will host the webinar “Economic Vitality: Small Projects At Small Ports” from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Eastern Time. The webinar is tailored for applicants proposing small projects at small ports. It will explain how MarAd evaluates the economic vitality of projects and how to address this criterion effectively in a PIDP grant application.
On July 1, MarAd will host the webinar “Project Readiness and NEPA Requirements” from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Eastern Time. The webinar will provide an overview of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and project readiness considerations. It will outline the steps required before construction can begin and will offer guidance on how to demonstrate readiness in the proposal.
Registration for the sessions is available online at www.maritime.dot.gov/office-port-infrastructure-development/port-and-terminal-infrastructure-development/2020-port. The website also includes slides from past webinars.
