On The Move: Gregg Thauvette And Thomas Rigolo

The Great Lakes Group recently announced the promotions of two long-term employees. Gregg Thauvette and Thomas Rigolo were each

promoted to the roles of president from their previous positions as executive vice president.

Thauvette has taken on the role of president of The Great Lakes Towing Company. He comes to the position after serving as the company’s executive vice president for 27 years. He was responsible for leading the company’s fleet renewal program, which began in 2016.

According to The Great Lakes Towing Company, Thauvette has proven himself to form strong customer relationships and works closely with vessel owners, operators and industry partners to ensure exceptional service and responsiveness across all ports.

Rigolo takes over as president of Great Lakes Shipyard after serving as executive vice president. Rigolo came to Great Lakes Shipyard more than seven years ago with an extensive background in naval architecture and engineering. As president, Rigolo will head all shipyard operations, including vessel construction, repair and maintenance, and continue to lead both commercial and government projects.

According to Great Lakes Shipyard, Rigolo has strengthened the company’s reputation as a trusted, full-service repair and construction facility through his leadership.
