IRPT Presents Inaugural CARGO Awards

Ed Weilbacher, retired executive director of Kaskaskia Regional Port District, speaks after accepting an inaugural CARGO Award during the Inland Rivers, Ports and Terminals (IRPT) Annual Conference, held September 1–4 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Mo. IRPT introduced the awards this year to recognize individuals whose leadership, service and commitment have contributed to the growth and advancement of the inland river transportation industry. The first group of honorees included Weilbacher; Randy Richardson, who is retiring from the the Port of Memphis; Jody Peacock of Ports Indiana; and Lucy Fletcher of AGRIServices of Brunswick.
