WEDA Midwest Chapter To Meet In Green Bay

The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) will hold its Midwest Chapter meeting March 22–24 at the Hyatt Regency in Green Bay, Wis.

The event will kick off with a “Dredging 101 Short Course” from 1–5 p.m. March 22. An ice-breaking reception will be held that evening from 6–8 p.m.

Highlights of the March 23 agenda include a Women of WEDA  breakfast meeting from 7:30–8:30 a.m.; a general overview of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act as it relates to dredging by Richard Balzano, CEO and executive director of the Dredging Contractors of America; a closer look at several regional dredging and beneficial-use projects; a tour of Lambeau Field; and a networking and social event at The Depot.

The meeting will continue March 24 with presentations on several more projects, including Fincantieri Marinette Marine, Toronto, Missouri River levee reconstruction and Green Bay Harbor. The meeting will conclude at 12:30 p.m. March 24.

The Midwest Chapter of WEDA represents Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Ontario, Canada.
