Port of Corpus Christi Launches Monthly Port Tours
The Port of Corpus Christi has launched a new community engagement initiative: monthly tours of the port’s Executive Administration Building (EAB), located at 400 Charles Zahn Jr. Drive. The program welcomes the public to explore port operations and infrastructure firsthand, gaining insight into the port’s global trade contributions, regional economic impact and environmental stewardship efforts.
“This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to transparency, education and building strong relationships with the communities we serve,” said Rosaura De Los Santos Bailey, the port’s director of community relations. “We’re proud to open our doors and provide a closer look at the operations that make the port a key driver of economic growth and a leader in sustainable development.”
The complimentary guided tours will be offered on the third Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Each session will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Tours will include an overview presentation followed by a walkthrough of the administration facilities.
“We consider it not only a special privilege, but a responsibility to share who we are and what we do at the Port of Corpus Christi,” said Omar Garcia, the port’s chief external affairs officer. “We want our neighbors and communities to feel proud of their port and to trust that we are wholly committed to serving our public locally, regionally and globally.”
Advance registration is required and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours will be open to all ages, ADA accessible and stroller-friendly. Capacity will be limited to 15 attendees to ensure an engaging, informative experience. Complimentary parking will be located directly across from the Port of Corpus Christi EAB. Photography is welcome, though drone use is prohibited.
Interested participants may register by completing the public tours request form at portofcc.com/public-tours. Confirmed guests will receive instructions and a confirmation phone call on the Tuesday prior to the scheduled tour. For more information, contact PCCA Community Relations at community@pocca.com.
