Obituary: Robert J. Leshe Jr.

Robert J. “Bob” Leshe Jr., longtime logistics coordinator in the barge industry, died August 12 at the age of 67. Leshe worked at Huffman Towing Company in St. Louis and AEP River Operations in Chesterfield, Mo. He then went to work for American Commercial Barge Line when ACBL acquired AEP River Operations in 2015.

Leshe is survived by his wife, Kim; his children, Lindsay, Mackenzie (husband Josh) and Jake (wife Ynhi); and two grandchildren. He was also a brother to Linda Clark, Bill Leshe, Jimmy Leshe, John Leshe and Stephen Leshe.

“Above all, Bobby was a family man with a big heart,” his obituary read. “He found joy in being surrounded by loved ones and will be remembered for his kindness, laugh and love that touched all who knew him.”

A visitation will be held October 4 at Bopp Chappel in Kirkwood, Mo., from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
