Callan Marine Begins Work On Bolivar Ferry Terminal

In May, Callan Marine began a maintenance dredging project for the Texas Department of Transportation at the Bolivar Ferry Terminal, removing 600,000 cubic yards of material. The project will return the landings to the required depth of 22 feet.

The General Pershing, an 18-inch cutter suction dredge, will hydraulically remove sediment and transport it via pipeline to placement area BU-1, located northeast of the proposed dredging location.

The project is estimated to be complete in late July.
