C&B Marine Buys Boat, Renames Six Others

C&B Marine, a full-service marine company located in Covington, Ky., recently purchased the mv. Mike Bird from Kirby Inland Marine and renamed it the mv. Queen City. The 102-foot, twin-screw towboat was built in 1974 by Scully Bros. Boat Builders. It was repowered to 3,000 hp. in 1990.

C&B Marine also renamed six other boats, all after cities close to fleets and or operations that it currently serves, reported David Orme, chief operations officer. The Amber Brittany is now named Newport, he said; the Charles W. Hinton is now Bellevue; the Glenna is the Constance; the Jeremy is now the Ludlow; the Joshua is the Bromley; and the Pleasant was renamed Dayton.
