Obituary: Jill Flowers

Jill Flowers, 79, devoted wife and business partner of the late marine equipment magnate J. Russell Flowers, died April 30 in Greenville, Miss.

For 49 years, she worked at J. Russell Flowers Inc., which became one of the country’s largest marine equipment leasing companies, with vessels operating on every segment of the inland waterways. After Russell Flowers died in 2017, Jill Flowers ran the business before eventually selling it to Maritime Partners in 2021.

A service was held May 3 at St. James Episcopal Church in Greenville.
