Newt Marine Awarded $25 Million Mechanical Dredging Contract

Dubuque Barge and Fleeting Service (also known as Newt Marine Service) of Dubuque, Iowa, was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for mechanical dredging services in the Mississippi River Basin under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The amount of the contract is $25 million. Bids were solicited via the internet, with two bids received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of December 9, 2032. The Rock Island Engineer District awarded the contract.
