Army Corps Of Engineers Holds National Dredge Meeting
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers held its annual National Dredge Meeting June 9 to 11 in Norfolk, Va.
Topics addressed included safety and logistics, how the Corps is delivering on its navigation mission and its new “Building Infrastructure, Not Paperwork” initiative.
Most of the meeting was geared toward contractors, with districts providing an overview of planned dredging projects where bids have not yet been awarded to a contractor and providing time for one-on-one engagement between the Corps and contractors.

Great Lakes And Ohio River Division
Robert C. Byrd Locks and Dam on the Ohio River spring dredge, 12 to 15 feet depth. Bid advertisement, March 2027, bid opening March 2027, dredge commencing May 2027, dredge complete May 2027. Dredge type: bucket. Placement: In water.

Ohio River Emsworth, Pike Island and Dashields FY26 Project, 9 foot designated channel. Allegheny River AR2, AR3 and AR4 Locks and Dam FY 26 Project Overview, 9 foot designated channel with 8 feet allowable draft behind walls.
