GLDD Awarded South Atlantic Harbor Dredging Contract

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, LLC has been awarded a $28.46 million contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for maintenance dredging at three South Atlantic harbors.

The work will take place at Savannah and Brunswick harbors in Georgia and Wilmington Harbor in North Carolina. The project will remove accumulated sediment from navigation channels and turning basins to maintain authorized depths.

The contract was awarded September 15 through the Wilmington Engineer District. Work is scheduled to be completed by April 15, 2027.

The project is part of the South Atlantic Division’s fiscal 2027 regional harbor dredging program.
