Olmsted L&D Ribbon-Cutting Date Changed
The date of the Olmsted Lock and Dam ribbon-cutting ceremony has been changed from August 29 to August 30 at 10 a.m. to better accommodate members of Congress, announced Waterways Council Inc. (WCI) on August 2.
In addition to this, the 88th meeting of the Inland Waterways Users Board (IWUB) will now be held on August 29 in Paducah, Ky. The site visit tour of Kentucky Lock will also be held that day, with times for the start of the tour and the IWUB meeting, plus location of the meeting, still to be announced.
WCI said that it will now hold its Western Kentucky Barbecue celebration dinner for the opening of Olmsted at the Country Club of Paducah at 6:30 p.m. on August 29.
