Parker Goes Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Parker Towing Company is going pink in October to support breast cancer prevention awareness and research during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The traditionally blue exhaust stacks of the motor vessels Bobby Joe James, Miss Morgan, and Mary Ethel have been painted pink.

“We wanted to do this to not only show our support to the many individuals who have been affected by this disease, but to help raise awareness. If this helps remind at least one person to go in and get checked, then we have met our goal,” said Tim Parker III, president of Parker Towing Company.

Parker Towing owns and operates 29 towboats, 387 covered and open hopper barges, a fleet of tank barges, and eight inland river terminals across the Southeast.
