It’s ‘Virtual IMX’ Week!

The long-awaited Inland Marine Expo 2020 gets underway September 29 with a wide variety of presentations, panel discussions and webinars, all streamed live through www.inlandmarineexpo.com.

Organized by The Waterways Journal and now in its seventh year, IMX was originally scheduled for May, but it was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will now be held September 29 through October 1. Even though the event will held virtually, it will still include all of the features that attendees have come to expect at the Inland Marine Expo. A number of education sessions are planned in which industry leaders and experts will present their views on topics including Subchapter M implementation, the legal aspects of COVID-19 in the maritime industry; innovations in propulsion; the migration to Tier 4; Mississippi River Ship Channel deepening, and more. The full schedule is included on the inside back cover of this issue.

In addition, IMX will feature a “virtual tradeshow,” in which more than 30 industry companies will have staffed “booths” where they can discuss their products and services. Many will offer webinars to further showcase their offerings. A list of sponsors and exhibitors is below.

We have also set aside time to recognize this year’s “40 Under 40” honorees.
