Brennan Receives Three ISO Certifications

J.F. Brennan Company Inc. has announced recently obtained certifications in occupational health and safety management, quality management and environmental management.

The certifications are in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Upon successful completion of certification audits by external auditor and registrar British Standards Institution (BSI), Brennan achieved certification in the three separate international standards: ISO 45991 Occupational Health and Safety Management; ISO 9001 Quality Management; and ISO 14001 Environmental Management.

Brennan began the process of obtaining certification back in 2014. Leading up to certification, the company experienced a reduction in accident rates by enforcing a culture of uniform safety, quality and environmental management, it said in a news release. While safety, quality, and environmental stewardship are longstanding principles within the company, an integrated ISO certification epitomizes all three values and proves that Brennan objectively maintains the highest global standards. To continually support and enforce ISO standards, Brennan employs a full-time safety staff, equating to one safety manager per 50 employees, double the ratio of a typical U.S. construction company.

“The pursuit of success is a core endeavor for all businesses who strive to lead in their industries,” President and CEO Matt Binsfeld said. “Success is not guaranteed, not easily achieved, and requires deliberate strategies and effort. Our multi-year journey has been a significant team effort that delivers on a long-held strategy to make success systematic. In meeting the combined ISO standards, our organization has developed a formal quality management system that deliberately enhances the safety, quality and environmental stewardship of our work. We are thankful for and want to highlight the exceptional efforts of our team in shifting paradigms with respect to how we execute work. As a result, the delivery of Brennan projects and client experience has been immeasurably enhanced beyond even our previous high standards.”
