The former Amory Lock and Dam on the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway was renamed in an October 15 ceremony by the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority and the Corps of Engineers. The facility is now known as Thad Cochran Lock and Dam, honoring the late U.S. svenator from Mississippi. In this photo, his widow, Kay Cochran, is joined by Sen. Roger Wicker and Mississippi State University President Mark Keenum at the renaming ceremony. (Photo courtesy of the Tenneseee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority)
