Eastern Shipbuilding Group Receives AEU Safety Award

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. has been awarded the 2024 American Equity Underwriters Inc. (AEU) Safety Award.

AEU, which provides workers’ compensation insurance for waterfront employers, presents the awards each year to its best performing members nationwide.

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, based in Panama City, Fla., announced receiving the award May 20.

Eligibility for the awards is based on the frequency and severity of workers’ compensation incidents for the prior calendar year, as well as safety-related metrics determined by AEU’s loss control team.
