Wellenkamp Selected For Future Caucus

Missouri state representative Colin Wellenkamp (R-St. Charles), who also serves as executive director of the Mississippi River Cities and Towns Initiative (MRCTI), has been selected to chair the newly formed Future Caucus of the 103rd General Assembly. Wellenkamp was elected to the Missouri Legislature last November and represents St. Charles County (District 105).

“We will be exploring matters of exigent and trying detail such as AI, cybersecurity, disaster mitigation and policies that build economic assurance for our state,” said Wellenkamp, who said topics will include freight issues.

The Future Caucus will develop analyses for House standing, statutory, special, interim and auxiliary committees.
MRCTI encourages communities along the length of the Mississippi River to share resources and advocate for common concerns. Wellenkamp has a B.A. in environmental studies from Saint Louis University, a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law and a Master of Laws in Sustainable Development Law from George Washington University Law School.
