On The Move: Holland, Brister, Chia, Leavell, Nadeau, Berry and Donnes

Colson Holland, C&B Marine
Covington, Ky.-based C&B Marine has announced the promotion of Colson Holland to the position of chief financial officer. Holland joined C&B in March 2025 as controller.
“Since joining our team last year, Colson has made significant contributions to our financial performance strategic planning,” said Bryan Carlisle, partner.
In his new role, Holland will oversee all financial operations and strategy, supporting the company’s continued growth and long-term success.

Jacob Brister, Mississippi River Commission
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Mississippi River Commission (MRC) has named Jacob Brister as its new executive director.
The MRC, headquartered in Vicksburg, Miss, provides water resources engineering direction and policy advice to the administration, Congress and the Army in a drainage basin covering 41 percent of the United States and parts of two Canadian provinces. In its current capacity, the MRC is charged with implementing the Mississippi River and Tributaries project, authorized through the historic 1928 Flood Control Act.
Brister previously served as deputy chief of the programs and project management division for the Vicksburg Engineer District. There, he led long‑term planning strategies to address water resource challenges and managed critical partner and stakeholder relationships. In that role, Brister also served as the Vicksburg District’s congressional liaison, overseeing communication and coordination with the 17 members of Congress whose districts fall within the Vicksburg District’s jurisdiction.
Brister has more than 20 years of experience with the Corps, including three developmental assignments with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, with one as the director of policy and legislation.

New SCI Board Members
The Seamen’s Church Institute recently announced the addition of three new members of its board of trustees. Leaders joining the organization’s board of trustees in 2026 include Jonathan Chia, managing partner at MTI Network USA; George Leavell, CEO of Weepier Marine Inc. and Weepier Group LLC; and Rear Adm. John Nadeau (U.S. Coast Guard, retired), president and CEO of Nadeau Maritime LLC.
“We are honored to welcome them to the board and look forward to the insight and guidance they will provide as SCI continues its mission of service to seafarers and mariners worldwide,” SCI said in announcing the appointments.

Kyle Berry and Ryan Donnes, Parker Towing Company
Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based Parker Towing Company recently announced a pair of new employees. Parker Towing hired Kyle Berry as safety and compliance manager. Berry brings more than 25 years of experience in the maritime industry from a career in the U.S. Coast Guard. The company has also hired Ryan Donnes as director of procurement. Donnes brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role.
