Turn Services Completes Fleeting Acquisition
Turn Services announced September 14 that it has completed its acquisition of St. John Fleeting LLC and its affiliated companies.
The acquisition combines St. John Fleeting’s 50-year presence on the Lower Mississippi River with Turn Services’ existing operations, expanding the company’s ability to provide barge fleeting, shifting and towing services throughout the region.
The acquired assets include a fleet at approximately Mile 141 on the Mississippi River with capacity for up to 300 barges. The fleet can accommodate dry cargo, liquid, pressure, CDC, deck and oversized barges.
The additional assets complement Turn Services’ existing network of fleeting and vessel operations while providing greater capacity and flexibility for customers moving cargo through the Lower Mississippi River corridor.

Todd Fuller, president of Turn Services, said the acquisition strengthens the company’s operations at a critical location on the Lower Mississippi River.
“The acquisition expands our fleeting operations in the Reserve area and allows us to augment our cargo-handling capacity within the Port of South Louisiana jurisdiction,” Fuller said. “We look forward to building on the strong foundation established by St. John Fleeting while continuing to deliver the level of safety, reliability and service our customers expect.”
The acquisition is part of Turn Services’ continuing strategy of investing in its employees, assets and operating locations while providing customers with an integrated network of marine services along the Lower Mississippi River and Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
