Corps ‘Managing Failure’ At Locks And Dam 52

At this writing, the aging and troubled Locks and Dam 52 are open after two unscheduled closures, one from September 6 through 14 and the second from October 8 through 14. A total of 51 upbound and downbound tows were waiting in the queue as of October 19, but the lock was passing an average of 17 tows per day, with some size restrictions. Read more ...
