On The Move: Mitzi Mason & Nick Bergeron

Mitzi Mason, Paducah Rigging
Mitzi Mason, who has served as general manager of Paducah Rigging’s Kentucky facility, is transitioning to a new role within the company. While she will continue to provide sales support, purchasing and account management, she will also focus on developing new customers and relationships.
Mason began working for Paducah Rigging in 1996 in the sales department.
Additionally, the Paducah Propeller Club recently honored Mason for her years of service on the board, as she is retiring from club leadership. She has held all offices on the board with the exception of media editor over the past 15 years. Most recently she has served as chairperson of the golf and River Industry Christmas Party committees. She has served on the golf committee for 14 years and the Christmas committee for five years. She is also a past chairperson, president, vice president, treasurer and secretary and has attended two international conventions, one as president and one as chairperson. Mason joined the Paducah Propeller Club in 1993.
“The club is a great way to get involved in the industry, meet people and learn about what is facing the industry nationwide,” Mason said.

Nick Bergeron, C&C Marine and Repair
Belle Chasse, La.-based C&C Marine and Repair has promoted Nick Bergeron to general manager. Bergeron joined C&C Marine in February 2022 to lead the company’s repair division. Prior to that, he spent 25 years with Zito Companies in a variety of leadership and operations positions.
“Nick has been a tremendous addition to the C&C family,” said Tony Cibilich, owner of C&C Marine and Repair. “He has an exceptional understanding of the business, and he works well with everyone. His leadership has played a significant role in the growth and success of our repair division.”
Over the past four years, C&C Marine has completed more than 200 major barge repair and paint projects. Bergeron attributed that feat to C&C leadership’s vision and commitment to excellence.
“The amount of work performed at this single location is incredible,” Bergeron said. “Fortunately, we have a facility that can turn barges over quickly. Just having the fully enclosed blast and paint building, which can prep and paint barges four times faster than any other facility, regardless of weather, results in significantly increased production. It’s a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation, the hard-working employees and the culture of excellence that exists at C&C Marine and Repair.”
As C&C Marine and Repair approaches its 30th year in business, that commitment to innovation and investment continues.
“The new 75,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art, fully automated pipe spooling facility we are building across the street will be capable of cutting, bending, welding, blasting and priming pipe,” Bergeron said. “Once the new facility comes online in late 2026, it will be a game changer for the industry.”
Bergeron officially began his new role on November 1.
