40 Under 40: Rayburn, Russell IV, Serodino IV And Settoon

For eight years, 40 of the industry’s future leaders have been honored at the Inland Marine Expo with the “40 Under 40” award, which recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions to the inland marine transportation industry in a variety of fields. All 40 honorees were nominated by executives and peers for their hard work and dedication to the industry.

Over the course of 10 weeks, The Waterways Journal is featuring this year’s recipients. This week we recognize Rachel Rayburn, Farrest Russell IV, Peter Serodino IV and Alden Settoon.

Rachel Rayburn

Rachel embodies these qualities, navigating challenges with resilience and motivating those around her to reach their full potential. She ensures team alignment, fosters collaboration and leads by example with a rare combination of integrity, vision and determination.” Outside of her time with Ingram, Rayburn plays an active role in the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, serving on the business advocacy committee, and has traveled multiple times to Washington, D.C. to advocate for the inland river industry. “Rayburn is not just an exceptional professional. She is a driving force of positive change,” Patterson said.
