Obituary: Robert Dale Suttles

Robert Dale Suttles, a native of Jacksonville, Ill., who spent 26 years working for Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel, died unexpectedly March 5 in Naples, Fla. Suttles was 64 years old. He was a port engineer for Pine Bluff.

“He was passionate about his work, but it was his family that truly brought him joy,” his official obituary stated.

Suttles was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Tara Renee Spillman Suttles, and his mother-in-law, Patsy Spillman. He is survived by his children, Justin Suttles (Mallory), Parker Suttles (Megan); Lindsay Joiner (Ashley) and Bobbie Parker (Larry); his parents, Norman and Lula Robinson Suttles; siblings, Steve Suttles (Marlene), Mike Suttles (Shelly), Andy Suttles, Mark Suttles and Debbie Armstrong (Paul); his father-in-law, Donnie Spillman; and his seven grandchildren.

A visitation and memorial service were planned for March 13 in Alexandria, La.
