Cenac Marine Buys, Renames Two Towboats

Cenac Marine Services LLC, Houma, La., recently purchased two vessels from T.W. LaQuay Marine LLC, Port Lavaca, Texas. The boats are the mvs. Jason W. LaQuay and Timothy W. LaQuay.

Identical, they are 84-foot, 2,600 hp. twin-screw towboats that were built in 2012 by John Bludworth Shipyard LLC, Corpus Christi, Texas. Propulsion is from Cat 3512C III diesel engines with Twin Disc 5.04:1 reduction.

Cenac Marine changed the name of the Jason W. LaQuay to Christine Cenac, and the Timothy W. LaQuay to Tommy Cenac.
